Also SIGNED and inscribed to jazz collector and book seller, Arthur Newman, by the author at the half title page; tipped in is a publisher's presentation card, also SIGNED and inscribed by the wonderful jazz pianist Ralph Sutton,"To Arthur, With Best Wishes, Ralph Sutton". After Dance's death in 1999, a number of books from his library were acquired by Mr. Newman. First published in 1975 as Piano Man, the retitled, Loose Shoes, is significantly expanded and updated from the original publication, a comprehensive biography of the great mainstream jazz pianist. In blue laminated boards, foot of spine is gently bumped, else, fine, tight unmarked, in a like dust jacket, unclipped, in mylar protector. Fine signed review copy with two strong jazz associations.
